0 23 February, 2012i was passing by Labrador and noticed a new mall nearby, called Alexandra Retail Centre. The area is looking so different now, no more the old PSA building.
Out of curiousity, i walked into the mall and it was really new. still relatively quiet, the best part is there's a FairPrice supermarket that's not crowded at all :)
walking out of the supermarket, i smelled a nice aroma and turned my head to look around is there any confectionary? i saw this little stall selling waffles and stroop waffles.
i couldn't resist the and bought myself 2 flavours - dark choco, cinnamon. the staff was very friendly, introducing me the waffles background - original recipe from Belgium, even the ingredients are imported from there.
they even warm up my waffles telling me that is best to eat them slightly warm. It was really nice, crispy on the outside with the pearl sugar, soft in the inside with a nice buttery and cinnamon taste. is very different when you buy from the bakery shops. Texture is not as hard and you can taste the freshness!
i'll definitely drop by to buy again. The boss was telling me that they are still looking into more new flavours, so if you are a fan of waffles, don't miss this stall :)
